Oracle Fusion Developer (Principal Applications Analyst)

Location: Remote

Description: 

The Information Technology Directorate is seeking to hire an Oracle Fusion Developer (Principal Applications Analyst) who is a team player and has strong experience supporting Oracle Fusion and developing in Oracle APEX with expertise in HCM and Payroll modules.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Technical support for the Oracle Fusion HCM Suite, OIC, OAC, Fast Formulas and Apex enhancements.
  • Support Fusion Payroll, Benefits, Performance Management, Recruiting, Compensation, and Time and Labor.
  • Support of enhanced pension module.
  • Develop reports that pull information from the SaaS as well as PaaS databases.
  • Execute knowledge of technical principles, theories, standards, practices and procedures in software development.
  • Write program code from internal specification documentation or outdated application code and prepare test plans, test data, run tests, observe results and correct program code to resolve any differences from specifications.
  • Perform/assist in the administration and technical responsibility of COTS and in-house developed applications including support for users, translating business requirements into enhancements; configuring and testing changes; maintaining and monitoring system security and permissions; and coordinating activities with other team members, the application owner, and IT.
  • Provide backend support of enterprise server farms that host multiple applications.
  • Identify, report, and perform/assist in the remediation of Cyber Security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Provide direction to less experienced staff.
  • Lead complex projects that may involve other IT sections, other departments, and consultants.
  • Serve as liaison between IT and Business Support groups.
  • Coach or mentor less senior staff.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Management. 

Qualifications
Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field or equivalent computer-related experience with at least 8 years of relevant, progressively responsible experience.
  • Experience using My Oracle Support, OTN and other Oracle-provided support resources.
  • Understanding basic Oracle Fusion architecture such as Oracle naming and setup conventions, file system layout, server architecture, etc.
  • 5 Years of experience in the solution design, implementation, and ongoing support of Oracle Fusion Applications and Integrations.
  • 5 Years of experience in both Application development and Integration using Oracle APEX in Oracle PaaS.
  • 5 Years of Technical Expertise Encompassing Fusion APIs, FBDI, ADF DI Loads, BIP and OTBI Reports.
  • Proficient in Fusion-based Integration development utilizing OIC.
  • Proficient in developing reports using OAC or PowerBI.
  • Skilled in ESS Jobs, Flex Fields (DFF, EFF, KFF), Lookups, Value sets, and Fusion Apps functional setup manager configurations.
  • Experience in both creating and consuming both SOAP/REST web services in Oracle Fusion Cloud and Oracle APEX.
  • Oracle Fusion cloud developer background with expert skill in:
    • Payroll
    • Core HR
    • Benefits
    • Time & Labor
    • Oracle SQL
    • BIP and OTBI reports including data modules
    • PL/SQL
    • Fusion APIs and FBDI
    • Fast Formulas
    • APEX development
  • Oracle Analytics Cloud is a plus.
  • Ability to work with Fast Formulas and APEX is a huge plus.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft is a plus.
  • Java experience is a plus.
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience trouble shooting and testing applications.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and good oral and written communication skills enough to communicate with co-workers, customers, write clear and concise reports, gather information, and collect information.
  • Work will be conducted remotely. Some work at our facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada is required in support of these functions.
  • Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday (subject to change).
  • Personnel may be requested by leadership to work in excess of 40 hours per week due to projects, activities, and emergences; critical operational demands may occasionally require off-shift work.
  • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
