Job Description

Contract Analyst

Location: Tulsa, OK

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled contract negotiator with expertise in software asset management, procurement, and contractual knowledge. This role will lead high-value negotiations with software & hardware vendors, optimize software licenses, and lead projects to improve cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with various business units including IT, Legal, and Service Contracts teams to structure deals that optimize costs and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Negotiation & Vendor Management:
  • Lead complex negotiations with software vendors, service providers, and hardware suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing
  • Structure Statements of Work (SOWs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and licensing agreements to align with business objectives
  • Partner with IT, Legal, and Service Contracts teams to collaborate and assess contract needs and risks
  • Ensure contracts meet internal compliance, financial goals, and risk management requirements to mitigate risk

Software Asset & IT Procurement Management:
  • Understand software asset management (SAM) best practices and integrate into contract negotiations
  • Support software compliance efforts by ensuring proper licensing structures, renewals, and usage rights are in place
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external software audits, ensuring transparency and accurate reporting
  • Optimize vendor contracts by aligning software and hardware purchases with business needs and usage patterns

Project & Stakeholder Management:
  • Drive the process of contract execution through the various steps until completion; meet with business units, structure the deal, push back on vendors, shepherd the agreement through legal and signatures, provide coding for procurement, then document purchased products for SAM compliance 
  • Develop strategies for cost savings and contract optimization while maintaining service quality
  • Partner with Legal, IT, and Finance to ensure contract terms align with corporate objectives.


Qualifications & Experience:
  • Understanding of software licensing, IT procurement processes, and asset management best practices.
  • Proven ability to negotiate large-scale and small-scale software, hardware, & service agreements with major vendors
  • Experience with internal and external audits and ensuring compliance
  • Strong project management skills with experience handling multiple negations
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Oil & Gas midstream operations
  • Knowledge of supply chain and IT procurement best practices in large enterprises
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, Icertis, and Ariba for contract and asset management 
  • In depth knowledge with acquisitions and divestures relating to software contract consolidation or separation
