Job Description

Accounting Analyst III/Sr – Research & Strategy

Location: Tulsa, OK

Description

This role will sit in our Research and Strategy Accounting group that is responsible for technical accounting/research (accounting memos, technical guidance, etc), mergers and acquisitions (accounting due diligence, opening balance valuation, etc), upstream accounting (~3,500 wells in Wamsutter and ~150 wells in the Haynesville), accounting for power generation projects (i.e. power supply to data centers), accounting for solar projects, and other new energy venture projects. The tasks of this job can vary day to day depending on current projects of the company, but will have monthly close responsibilities, including presentations to key stake holders, associated with our upstream, power generation, solar projects and other new energy venture projects.

 
Must Haves
  • Energy experience, preferably in upstream accounting
  • Technical/research accounting experience, can be through public accounting experience or through other companies
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting in the energy industry
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to problem solve solutions that may not have prior history to rely on
 
Nice to Haves
  • Public accounting experience, preferably through senior associate
  • Power app or other automation (Power BI, Alteryx, etc) experience
